🥇 Carlos Yulo Claims Gold in Men’s Vault at Gymnastics World Championships

JAKARTA, Indonesia – Filipino superstar Carlos Yulo once again solidified his status as a global powerhouse in gymnastics, capturing the gold medal in the men’s vault final at the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships on Saturday, October 25, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Olympic double gold medalist soared above the competition, dominating the final round with a stellar performance. Yulo registered an impressive average score of 14.866 points to clinch the top spot, narrowly edging out his rivals. Armenia’s Artur Davtyan took home the silver medal with 14.833 points, while Ukraine’s Nazar Chepurnyi secured the bronze with a score of 14.483.

Vault Victory Extends Historic Career

Yulo entered the final as the favorite, having led the qualifying rounds with a strong score of 14.750 points. His ability to maintain precision and execution under pressure proved decisive in securing the championship title.

This victory is particularly significant as it further embellishes Yulo’s already historic career:

Triple World Championship Gold: This medal marks Yulo’s third gold medal at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. He previously ruled the men’s vault in 2021 and the men’s floor exercise in 2019.
Double Olympic Champion: The achievement adds another major feat to his resume, which includes his groundbreaking performance at the Paris Olympics, where he became the first Filipino to win multiple gold medals.

The vault title comes immediately after Yulo secured a bronze medal in the men’s floor exercise final on Friday, demonstrating his consistent excellence across multiple apparatuses.

Yulo’s continued success on the world stage reaffirms his position not only as a Philippine national treasure but as one of the elite artistic gymnasts globally.
