‘Tuloy pa rin ang laban’: Kris Aquino Shares Health Update
MANILA, Philippines — Kris Aquino, famously known as the “Queen of All Media,” recently shared an important update on her health as she begins a preventive isolation period at her family’s compound in Tarlac.
Last week, Kris announced her decision to undergo a six-month isolation after spending time at a private beach property. This came following her revelation last month that she had become wheelchair-bound due to her ongoing health struggles.
In her latest Instagram post dated August 19, 2025, Kris revealed that she had just completed her second hours-long infusion of Rituximab, a medication that targets B-cells to help treat some of her multiple autoimmune diseases.
Following a concerning blood panel result, her doctor, Geraldine Zamora, recommended further examinations. Kris underwent an ultrasound, additional tests, and consultations with three different health specialists to better understand her condition.
Kris also shared a glimpse of her family support, mentioning that her eldest son, Josh, visited her on Sunday, August 16, while her younger son, Bimby, has been having trouble sleeping lately.
Expressing her trust in Filipino medical professionals, Kris said:
“I chose to literally trust Filipino doctors with my life rather than take medicine that I am unsure of especially because I just finished a big dose of a strong immunosuppressant and I am continuing with two immunosuppressants and so much more supplements, antihistamines, and important vitamins.”
She also asked her followers to pray for her doctors, nurses, technicians, and everyone working in the operating room.
“Wag sana kayo sumuko sa pagdasal dahil kumukuha ako ng lakas galing sa kabutihang loob ninyo,” Kris concluded, adding hashtags that translate to “please don’t give up” and “the fight continues.”
Kris Aquino’s update is a testament to her resilience and determination to keep fighting despite the challenges posed by her health. Fans and supporters continue to send their prayers and well wishes as she navigates this difficult journey.
