Love wins on It’s Showtime!
The Kapamilya noontime show turned emotional and empowering on its June 21, 2025 episode, as singer and Pinoy Big Brother (PBB): Celebrity Collab Edition alum Klarisse de Guzman publicly came out and opened up about her relationship with her girlfriend, Trina.
Klarisse finally put into words what she had long kept close to her chest, revealing that it was none other than Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee who inspired her to take that leap.
“Sobrang handang-handa ako noon. Hinihintay ko lang talaga yung tamang pagkakataon,” Klarisse began.
“Hangga’t nakita ko si Michelle… I thought, this is it. It’s time.”
Her voice trembled with relief and pride as she spoke about the freedom that followed her decision to live more openly.

She recalled the many times she had been asked about her love life while serving as hurado in “Tawag ng Tanghalan” — a singing competition aired as a segment of It’s Showtime.
Back then, she dodged questions with humorous but fabricated answers: “Si Bogart, si Raul, si Sir Louie, si Bertie, lahat sila nabanggit ko. Pero yun pala, cover-up lang.”
The moment she saw houseguest Michelle Dee in the PBB house, Klarisse said she knew she had found someone special.
“May connection talaga kami… dahil iisang rainbow ang pinaglalaruan namin,” she said, sparking cheers from the studio audience.
But stepping out into the world after the show came with a wave of uncertainty.
“Yun po yung worry ko… Kumusta kaya pagbalik ko sa work? Ano kaya tingin nila sa akin? Magbabago kaya?” she admitted.

“Sobrang saya lang na hindi ko in-expect na matatanggap siya ng tao.”
KLARISSE DECLARES LOVE FOR HER GIRLFRIEND TRINA
It’s Showtime co-host Jhong Hilario asked Klarisse what message she would like to give her partner.
“To my partner… oh my God,” she began.
“Hi, Trina. Thank you. Thank you dahil hindi mo ko iniwan kahit sa mga pagkakataong hindi kita mapagsigawan.
“And eto, finally, masasabi ko na, I love you, Trina! Love wins!”
The crowd erupted into cheers, with Vice Ganda affirming, “Deserve mong sumigaw. At deserve niya rin marinig yung pangalan niya na isinisigaw mo.”
Klarisse also thanked Trina for being her constant source of strength, especially during difficult times with her family.
“Siyempre talaga, siya yung naging support system ko sa lahat ng mga nangyari sa akin, lalo na sa parents ko.
“So, sobrang saya na finally, eto, puwede na kaming mag-post ng pictures.”

Vice, never one to miss a moment, chimed in with a celebratory “It’s about damn time!”
The conversation ended with a moving reminder from Vice:

Vice went on: “Si Klarisse, yung pinaniwalaan natin, she deserves to be in this industry. She deserves to be heard. You deserve to hear her.
“She deserves to have her own concerts, her own songs. We deserve to listen to her music.
“Kaya si Klarisse, suportahan natin siya kasi mahusay, magaling, maganda, magandang kaluluwa. Kaya dapat nandito siya sa industry na ito.”
In turn, Klarisse showed her appreciation for the comedian-host by acknowledging Vice Ganda’s contribution in producing her first-ever concert.
“Dun palang, grabe na yung pagtitiwala mo,” she told Vice.
Klarisse comes out on PBB
Klarisse first came out as bisexual in one of the tasks inside the PBB house, where each housemate was asked to fully introduce themselves.
Seated on the “trono,” Klarisse confessed that she hesitated to join the reality show precisely because she wasn’t sure she was ready to expose her private life.

But after deep reflection, she chose to convey her identity honestly: “Tingin ko, eto na yung time para sabihin sa inyo lahat, and to tell the world that I’m not straight.”
The 33-year-old singer went on to reveal that she had been in a same-sex relationship for four years with her partner, Trina.
Though this part of her identity was hidden from the public, she revealed that she had always been out to her parents and close relatives, even before her father passed away.
She also expressed joy in finally being able to speak freely: “Napakasarap po sa pakiramdam. Eto pala ang feeling ng malaya.”

Inside the confession room, Klarisse admitted to Big Brother that fear of judgment and potential career repercussions had long kept her silent.
“Tinago ko po yung totoo… natatakot po ako,” she said, holding back tears.
But with support from fellow housemates and encouragement from house guest Michelle Dee—who is openly bisexual and known for her LGBTQIA+ advocacy—Klarisse found the strength to drop the walls.
“Wala na akong tinatago. Malaya na po ako.”
