A massive trade proposal has a surprise Western Conference team shaking up the NBA landscape by acquiring both LeBron James and Stephen Curry in a three-team trade proposal.

Now, there’s no indicator that LeBron James or Stephen Curry want to change teams at this phase of their careers. James just signed a two-year extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy stated last month that Curry can have “whatever he wants” on his next deal, per The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.

But there’s also no denying that the Lakers’ and Warriors’ championship windows are rapidly closing. So it’s not a stretch to believe that James and Curry could be available via trade if both teams receive offers for the franchise stars that they can’t refuse.

On a recent episode of FS1’s “First Things First” program, Nick Wright proposed a blockbuster three-team trade that would see the San Antonio Spurs land both LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

In Wright’s proposal, the Lakers would get Keldon Johnson, Harrison Barnes, San Antonio’s 2027 first-round pick and their 2031 first-rounder (which San Antonio owns). As for the Warriors, they would get Sidy Cissoko, Zach Collins, Devin Vassell, a 2027 first-round pick via the Atlanta Hawks and a 2030 first-round pick via the Dallas Mavericks.

The Spurs have suffered five straight losing seasons, including two straight 22-60 campaigns. Generational superstar Victor Wembanyama needs more offensive support, and Curry and James would immediately make San Antonio contenders.

LeBron, Steph & Wemby Would Be A Dream Trio

LeBron spent more than a decade as the face of the NBA. Curry is the greatest three-point shooter of all time, and Wembanyama is poised to take over as the best player on the planet eventually.
The odds of such a trade are astronomical, but one can always dream of three generational talents sharing the court together. Fortunately for the rest of the NBA, the Lakers and Spurs aren’t actually about to trade their franchise stars to the team that employs the future face of the NBA.
