Kapuso actor Kristoffer Martin was involved in a road accident recently after being hit by a drunk motorcycle driver who counter-flowed into his lane. The incident occurred shortly after the actor left a meeting and was riding his bicycle.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Kristoffer shared photos of his minor injuries, which included visible bruises and abrasions, along with his firsthand account of how the accident happened. Despite the trauma, he expressed gratitude that both he and the motorist survived.

“Naaksidente ako kanina. Ang bilis ng pangyayari. Mabagal pa takbo ko kasi kaka alis lang sa meeting place. Chineck lang sapatos ko if naka clipped in. Tapos ang bilis ng nangyari––may nag counterflow na motor. Lasing. Tumilapon na ko,” Kristoffer wrote in one of his posts.

According to the actor, he had just started pedaling away from his meeting venue when the motorcycle, driven by a man under the influence of alcohol, veered into his path unexpectedly. The collision threw Kristoffer off his bike and onto the pavement.

The Shocking Moment

Kristoffer recalled the horrifying moment of the crash, saying he initially feared that the motorist had died on the spot.

“Si kuya nakita ko bumagsak tapos duguan na. Akala ko nakapatay ako. Lord salamat buhay si kuya at minor injuries lang sakin,” he shared.

He further admitted that the fear stayed with him for hours as he waited at the police station to get updates on the condition of the other man involved.

“Pero yung ang tagal ko sa presinto nagaabang ng news if buhay ba si kuya. Yun yung iniisip ko magdamag,” he added.

Instead of expressing anger or frustration, Kristoffer emphasized the importance of compassion and awareness. Although the crash left him shaken, he highlighted how thankful he was that the accident did not end in tragedy.

“At the end of the day, parehas kaming buhay. Yun pa rin pinaka malaking pasasalamat ko,” he said. “Mag-ingat tayo lahat. Laging isipin may pamilyang naghihintay sa’tin makauwi.”
