Taylor Swift fans have worked out how to ace interview questions using their Swiftie skills
Being a Swiftie is lots of fun. It could also help you to impress future employers, according to fans.
Taylor Swift megafan @seeseebug has worked out how to use your fan status to excel in job interviews, and Swifties think she’s onto something.
The ‘mastermind’, also known asSierra, shared her tips in a post on her popular TikTok account. In the playful clip, Sierra explains how to interview as a Swiftie, sharing mock answers to interview questions that emphasise transferable skills Swifties bring to the workplace.
For instance, if an interviewer asks you what you like to do in your free time, you could very well say you spend hours dancing around your interview recreating the Eras Tour. It would evidence your passion.

Or you could really impress the hiring manager by taking Sierra’s advice and demonstrating how you’ve explored your passion.
“I recently have found myself more interested in literature and poetry,” Sierra answers in her mock interview. “I’ve done a deep dive into understanding metaphors, personification, and satire.”
Alternatively, if you’re asked to share your strengths you could once again draw on your experience as a fan. Sharing an example, Sierra says, “I’d say one of my greatest strengths is data analysing. I like to believe that whatever is right in front of you is not exactly as it seems and you really have to dive deeper into it to fully understand the meaning behind it.”
If you’re asked about your weaknesses, Sierra has another answer ready. In the clip, she responds: “Sometimes, I can find it very difficult to believe other people’s opinions of things. I can be very hard-headed and think that my opinion is correct. What I’ve done to correct that is listening to their theories fully and really seeing their perspective and understanding why they believe that way.”
Granted, you’d be wise not to rely entirely on Swift-inspired answers in your next interview. You’ll likely want to reference your experience and track record, along with your other credentials. But that’s not to say you can’t use skills you’ve developed as a Swiftie to your advantage.
Replying to the viral video, one fan said: “I have an interview next week and I will definitely be using these.” “I filmed this after getting out of an interview and it definitely worked for me,” Sierra replied.
Someone else commented: “Taylor Swift singlehandedly made several generations love poetry again,” while another praised: “This is perfect.”
