Jodi Sta. Maria, Nadine Lustre, Ivana Alawi call for end to corruption

MANILA, Philippines — Jodi Sta. Maria did not only post about fighting corruption but also took the stage of “Baha sa Luneta” rally to demand for accountability.
“Para sa akin Importante na may managot, hindi pwedeng wala kasi ilang beses na itong nangyari,” Jodi spoke to the morning crowd of the Luneta rally yesterday.
She took the stage, which also welcomed speeches from fellow actors Tessie Tomas and Angel Aquino.
“Dapat hindi na natin ito pwedeng palagpasin,” she stressed.
On Instagram, she posted her photo wearing a shirt that reads: “Dapat may makulong.”
Nadine Lustre, an actress who has always been vocal about relevant issues, also went to the rally yesterday.
On her Instagram, she seen wearing a black shirt that is marked with words: “Stop flooding us with corruption.”
Content creator-turned-actress Ivana Alawi also went to yesterday’s rallies where she was seen one with the people. She posted about her participation on Instagram, where she wrote about putting a stop to corruption.
“Tigilan na ang pagnanakaw! Tigilan na ang pangungurakot! MAHIYA NAMAN KAYO!” Ivana said on Instagram.

David Licauco was also among the crowd, even posting a photo with him and fellow actor Raheel Bhyria, who was seen carrying the “One Piece” flag.
The popular flag seen in the beloved anime “One Piece” has been seen in protests in other countries, such as Nepal and Indonesia. Gen Zs are believed to raise the flag, which is seen to stand against oppression and fight for freedom.

Celebrities joined the protests in EDSA and Luneta yesterday, which coincided with the 53rd anniversary of the proclamation of Martial Law of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. on September 21, 1972.
