Social media influencer Janica Nam Floresca shared a heartwarming glimpse of her and her husband Lorenz Sia’s emotional reaction during the gender reveal of their first child.

On Instagram, Janica posted a video from their intimate gender reveal party attended by family and friends.

“They say real men don’t cry. But real dads do. 🥹,” Janica wrote.

The video showed a playful twist to the reveal—a boxing match between mascots representing Team Boy and Team Girl. After winning one round each, the tiebreaker was clinched by Team Boy, confirming that the couple is expecting a baby boy. Both Janica and Lorenz were moved to tears by the announcement.

“Lorenz rarely shows emotions, but our baby changed that. The moment we found out the gender, it finally felt real! This is really happening. 🤍🥹🙏🏻,” she added.

Lorenz echoed the sentiment, commenting, “Grabe i can still feel it 🥹.”

He also shared his own post, writing: “Beyond gender, what matters is God’s gift of life. 🙏 @janicanam.”

 

Alongside the video, Janica also uploaded photos from the celebration, asking her followers to help them decide on a name for their baby boy.

The couple first announced their pregnancy last July through a lighthearted video featuring Janica holding a positive pregnancy test while Lorenz playfully remarked, “SABE KO NA NGA BA E 😁.”

Janica and Lorenz tied the knot on May 31 in an intimate wedding attended only by close family members. They kept the ceremony private before releasing their wedding video in June.

“After 5 years we finally said, ‘I do.’  We didn’t get here overnight. We grew through hard conversations, took every fight, and every ‘let’s try again.’ Not everyone saw the journey. But those who did, know this love was pure and real,” Janica wrote in a post.

In her previous post, Janica also opened up about her pregnancy journey while living with Type 1 Diabetes, sharing her gratitude and determination despite the challenges.

“I just want to share a little awareness about Diabetes 🫶🏻 Many of you tell me ‘same tayo, I had gestational diabetes.’ I’m so grateful you share your stories with me 🤍 I just want to explain how my condition is a bit different,” she explained.

 

“It’s not easy but it’s a privilege I’ll never take for granted, because it means I get to grow this little life inside me. 🥹🤍,” she added.

“This journey isn’t easy, but it’s proof that love can make you braver than you ever imagined. 🤍 Discipline isn’t just about routine, it’s about love. 🤍.”

She also shared updates on her pregnancy on social media as she expressed appreciation and love to her unborn child.

Last August, Janica shared the story behind her being admitted in the hospital. In her post, Janica revealed that she noticed light spotting and some discharge that prompted her to go to the hospital.

“The next morning, I noticed light spotting and some discharge. My OB asked me to do a urinalysis and also an ultrasound just to make sure baby is okay. After that, she checked me and advised me to go to the delivery room for a non-stress test, just to make sure it wasn’t preterm labor,” she said.

 


“Thankfully, baby is doing well,” she added. “For now, I just need some rest. Thank you so much to everyone who reached out. Your love and prayers mean so much.”
