Olivia Dunne addressed the awkward nature of running into old pals

Like most of us, Olivia Dunne has undergone some drastic changes and development since her high school days. However, unlike most of us, it only took her a few years after graduation to become a millionaire.

In early 2020, the LSU gymnast rose to prominence after posting videos of her gymnastics routines on social media. Before long, Dunne was attracting millions of views, and has since exploded into one of the premier influencers around today.

In a recent post on her TikTok account, Olivia Dunne jokingly depicted the scenario of walking into a bar in her hometown seeing all of her old friends. However, Dunne added that she was actually homeschooled, adding a streak of comical irony to the skit.

A native of New Jersey, Dunne was homeschooled from the age of fourteen. After finishing up her studies, she enrolled at Louisiana State University, where she has since been an anchor of the school’s gymnastics team.

Last summer, Olivia Dunne revealed that she and Pittsburgh Pirates first overall draft pick Paul Skenes were in a relationship. An LSU alumni himself, Dunne was in attendance when Skenes and his teammates won the College World Series in 2023.

Although her career started out with a focus on gymnastics, as her following grew, so too did the range of topics covered. Now boasting tens of millions of followers across her various social media accounts, Dunne’s feed covers everything from fitness and lifestyle to innocent clips of the 22 year-old goofing off with her friends.

Although her rise to fame has made her incredibly wealthy, Olivia Dunne has also suffered some adverse effects. She has claimed to no longer attend in-person lectures at LSU, and now employs a full-time security detail, citing concerns about her personal safety.

Olivia Dunne’s exposure has been helpful to Paul Skenes

As someone who became famous at a very young age, Dunne was able to help her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, navigate all of the exposure that comes with being a top rookie. As the 2024 NL Rookie of the Year told MLB.com recently:

“Yeah, I think so. She got to that point in her life a little bit earlier than I did. So, with the Draft and all of that, she was able to help me with those experiences”

Still both so young, many fans cannot help but feel excited to see what heights the fame of Dunne and Skenes will reach next.
