Lakers Center Anthony Davis revealed his thoughts about the next game.
On December 15, 2024, the Warriors acquired Dennis Schroder in exchange for De’Anthony Melton, Reece Beekman, and three second-round draft picks. So far this season, Schroder has played in just three out of the Warriors’ 28 games. Davis emphasized that Schroder’s presence for the next game is an important consideration as Christmas Day approaches.
“I mean, we always have battles with them. We have seen him in the playoffs a couple years. Add Dennis to their team and then they will pick up for himself it’s gonna be fun go up into Bay try get a win over today.” Davis said to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
Anthony Davis consistently demonstrates outstanding performance for the team. Moreover, his exceptional skills have garnered praise from LeBron James in a recent interview. In the latest game against the Detroit Pistons, Davis scored 19 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and provided 6 assists. Unfortunately, the team lost the game, with a final score of 114-117.
Anthony Davis Analyzes Improvements In The Los Angeles Lakers’ Defense
The Lakers had a three-game winning streak before losing to the Pistons. They are currently in 7th place in the Western Conference standings, with 16 wins and 13 losses. In a recent interview, Davis reflected on the team’s improvements, particularly in their defensive play.
“Defensively, we’re being physical, we’re talking, we’re communicating, we’re covering for one another, we’re rebounding. Our coverages are on point. We’re just flying around doing everything, getting greedy. Anytime you play like that, we know when our offense isn’t always there, we can rely on our defense. We just want to carry that into Monday’s game.” Davis said in a recent interview (via Spectrum SportsNet).
Davis is currently averaging 26.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in the 2024-25 NBA regular season. Fans are excited for the upcoming Lakers—Warriors game, as James and Stephen Curry will face each other for the fourth time on Christmas Day in their NBA careers.
