After nearly 150 shows and year and a half on the road, Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras tour is coming to a close. The pop star will perform her final three concerts in Vancouver starting on Dec. 6.

“My band, my crew, all of my fellow performers, we have put so much of our lives into this. And you’ve put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and to giving us that moment that we will never forget.
While the 34-year-old emotionally prepares for the final show, Vancouver is thanking their lucky stars she chose this city to wrap up the global phenomenon that the Eras tour.
Before Swift’s first show at B.C. Place, Ken Sim, the mayor of Vancouver, announced the nine-figure economic impact the Eras tour is expected to bring to their city.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled that Vancouver will be the last stop on Taylor Swift’s record-breaking The Eras Tour. This iconic event hasn’t just captivated audiences around the world, it has translated into a huge economic boost for every city it has visited, and Vancouver is no exception,” Sim said in a statement.
“With an expected economic impact of $157 million, this is an incredible opportunity for our restaurants, hotels, and local businesses to shine. Vancouver is proud to be a world-class city, and hosting an event of this scale only strengthens our place as a top-tier global destination.”
The Eras tour has been credited for boosting local economies everywhere. During the tour’s three-night stay in New Orleans, the Big Easy raked in more than $500 million. The tour’s six shows in Toronto created a $282 million economic impact .
In preparation for over 150,000 fans attending the Eras show in Vancouver, the city set up 13 Taylor Swift-inspired light installations across the downtown area. Restaurants, hotels, and bars are gearing up for large crowds.
Swifties are convinced the “Karma” singer has special surprises in store for fans attending the final shows. However, one things fans will not see is Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, joining her on stage.
While Kelce stunned fans at Wembley Stadium back in June, his NFL schedule will keep the 35-year-old All-Pro stateside this weekend. Kansas City hosts the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 14.
