«Salt Lake City Police have released additional details about the crash involving Habs forward Emil Heineman.
Heineman was struck by a car shortly before 3 p.m. in Salt Lake City and received medical treatment from team doctors.
The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.»
Just now, we have received an update regarding Emil Heineman and the at-fault driver involved by NHL reporter, Ryan Miller.
«More info about the Heineman crash:
The driver went across a few lanes as he turned right (instead of staying in the closet lane like you’re supposed to) and hit Heineman.
The parties exchanged info and left it at that. It wasn’t until later the police report was filed.»
Utah Highway Patrol Reveal Driver Who Struck Canadiens’ Heineman
«Utah Highway Patrol said they are handling the incident because the driver was a city employee.»
A CITY EMPLOYEE TO BLAME??
HabsOnReddit also spoke up upon their opinion regarding this incident.
« Looks like a Salt Lake City employee caught Emil Heineman walking down the street and hit him with his car.
Hopefully there will be legal repercussions for this reckless driver.»
According to reporter, Ryan Miller, luckily this is not a high-speed collision.
With all being said, we wish Heineman a very speedy recovery.
