The New York Mets are undoubtedly a huge favorite for signing the Juan Soto. Steve Cohen has been behind the star slugger for a long time. Cohen is believed to have offered Soto the biggest contract. With several teams in pursuit of the All-Star, it’s clear that Soto’s demand has grown higher by the day.
The Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, and Philadelphia Phillies were a few other teams linked to Soto. Many think the New York Yankees have the upper hand since Soto has chemistry with Aaron Judge and the fans. However, MLB insider Ken Rosenthal is uncertain about the Yankees signing Soto.
“I don’t know if the Yankees will have the final say. I almost think the Mets will have the final say because after Scott Boras and Soto collect all the offers, what they should do, or what they likely will do, in my opinion, is go to Steve Cohen,” Rosenthal said via Clutch Points.

According to Rosenthal Boras and Soto, they will likely opt for the highest bid. It’s unsure what Hal Steinbrenner had offered Soto, but the whole league and its fans believe that Cohen would beat any offer.
Boston Red Sox Keen On Another Meeting With Soto Despite Mets Closing In
Almost everyone trolled the Red Sox when rumors spread about them signing Soto. It seems like the Red Sox were pretty serious about the All-Star. The franchise is keen on another meeting with the star despite the Mets closing in on the deal.
Boston is expected to hike the price, but the real question is whether they will be able to beat Cohen’s offer. Soto met with the Red Sox, Dodgers, Blue Jays, and Yankees. All teams have made their offers, but Boston is going to give it one last shot.
Experts believe that Soto’s free agency is drawing to an end. The slugger is predicted to sign with a team soon. As for the Yankees, they seem to have a backup plan in case Soto picks the Mets. The Yanks have connected with Corbin Burnes and Max Fried to bolster their starting rotation.
