Chris Brown was talking to hip hop mogul Suge Knight just MINUTES before he was blasted with bullets at his pre-VMAs party.
The controversial singer , who was caught up in the drama at 1Oak nightclub in West Hollywood in the early hours of Sunday morning, was reportedly close to Suge when he was shot in the stomach and arm.
A source told New York Post newspaper’s Page Six column: “It was organised chaos, Suge was shot right after talking to Chris Brown.
“Suge was talking to Brown who was on a podium. They seemed to be having a friendly conversation that lasted a few minutes. About 30 seconds later shots rang out and Suge was hit.”

Despite sources claiming the gunman had aimed for Chris, others say he was stood above everyone and would have been an easy target.
Suge, who is the co-founder of Death Row Records along with Dr Dre and the rapper The D.O.C., was among stars including model Tyson Beckford who had turned out for the party.
Shots rang out at about 1.35am and partygoers claimed it sounded “like firecrackers.”
Another insider added: “The music was on, then they shut the music off, then the music came back on because everyone thought it was fireworks.”

Suge was hit multiple times in the stomach, chest and arm, according to Page Six. He is now undergoing surgery.
There were two other victims, a man and woman, one of which is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.
A video also shows Chris waving his arms around on a podium while a man shouts as revellers to “get down.”
Music heavyweight Suge walked out of the club and was filmed calmly telling police he’d been shot before being taken to hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
1Oak was evacuated after the shooting and Chris escaped unharmed, while the shooter was arrested by police at the venue.
