NHL insider Frank Seravalli reveals trade bait list that surprises many
Edmonton Oilers defensemen Darnell Nurse has found himself on Daily Faceoffs’ Frank Seravalli’s trade list following elimination in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Nurse’s time in Edmonton has consisted of a love/hate relationship with the fans, solely due to the fact of his very high salary per year, much like Chicago Blackhawks defensemen Seth Jones.
Nurse finished with a -15 plus/minus after a seven-game Stanley Cup Final series against the Florida Panthers and fans sure let the ‘hatred’ towards Nurse be known.
Seravalli revealed the following:
“For a number of weeks now, one member of the Edmonton Oilers has found their way on Daily Faceoff’s Trade Targets list: Darnell Nurse.
The most recent one, as compiled by Frank Seravalli, had Nurse listed as No. 29 of 30, where he highlighted some of the long-term and short-term issues with the six years left on his contract.”

Nurse ($9.25M), who has a tough contract that many deem horrible, will be earning his annual salary for the next six seasons in Edmonton, but according to Seravalli, if Edmonton Oilers management can find a way to trade Nurse and his hefty deal- they would.
