John revealed he has been struggling with a “severe eye infection” among other woes.

Speaking on a documentary of his final tour, Elton John: Never Too Late, he spoke candidly about his health.
The ‘I’m Still Standing’ hitmaker revealed: “This is the latter time of my life. I don’t know how much time I have left.
“You think about that more when you get to my age. You think about life and… and death. You think, ‘Well, I just want to be where I want to be now.'”
To live better and help control his blood sugar levels, John embarked on a radical diet overhaul.

John had to almost totally eliminate sugar from his diet, confessing, “I can have an apple, I can eat a bit of melon” as a treat.
He explained: “As long as you’re sensible about it, it doesn’t shoot your blood sugar up. But what I crave is chocolate and ice cream – I can’t have any ice cream.”
Speaking to Ruthie’s Table 4 podcast, he confessed he is struggling to keep to the strict diet regime.
The Rocket Man hitmaker speculated his death row meal now “wouldn’t contain anything except sweets.”
“I’d have ice cream, doughnuts, apple pie, rhubarb crumble,” he revealed.
Despite his struggles, his efforts appear to be paying off as he cut a trim figure on Thursday.

John, who composed the musical with Jake Shears, told Playbill he thought it was premiering at the right time.
He enthused: “There’s so much hate and violence, and we all seem to be so far apart, Tammy was an example of inclusivity.”
