Snoop Dogg parties with Ed Sheeran and Russell Crowe backstage at his Melbourne concert – as fans notice jar of suspicious green herbs on the table
One is a controversial rapper, another is a UK crooner and the third is one of Australia’s most successful Hollywood exports.
And on Saturday night, three worlds collided as Snoop Dogg, 51, Ed Sheeran, 32, and Russell Crowe, 58, caught up backstage at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
Snoop had performed at the arena that night, and took to Instagram with a photo showing the trio partying together with crew-members.
Snoop, who is well known for his love of cannabis, was pictured sitting in-between the two men with a glass jar of suspicious green herbs on the table in front of him.
A series of burned rolled cigarettes also lay on what looked to be a set list.

An Instagram video of the encounter shows Snoop puffing on a recently-rolled cigarette while he chats to the pair and jokes to Sheeran he will be ‘smoking all your weed’.
The clip also appears to show Snoop gifting both Ed and Russel a chunky logo chain from his Death Row Records jewellery line, which is worth $9600 AUD.
Snoop has made a habit of gifting celebrities this chain when he meets them, having recently given one to Jamie Foxx.

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting Ed nor Russell smoked anything that night.
Back in October, Snoop’s professional ‘joint roller’ revealed the flamboyant American rapper smokes up to 150 marijuana blunts a day.
The Gin and Juice star lives in California where recreational marijuana use is legal, and has employed a full-time joint roller since 2016.
The employee, known as Renegade, revealed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show she had rolled more than 450,000 joints for Snoop during that time.

‘I calculate it at over 450,000. I do about half a pound a day, which is 75 to 150 joints,’ she told radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
Sandilands said he once spent time in California with Snoop, who told him he’d learned how to roll joints from late hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur.
In 2015, the rap artist launched his own platform called Merry Jane, a lifestyle media site that serves as an information hub for everyone interested in weed geared towards the occasional to the daily smoker.
