Adele has caused a stir among fans after appearing to scream at fellow football fans in Germany during England’s Euro 2024 semi-final match.

The Hello singer, 36, can be seen in a clip that has since gone viral appearing tense just moments before Harry Kane slotted home a penalty for the Three Lions.

It appears the Someone Like You singer turns her head to yell “shut up” at an unknown person(s) in the crowd, with some assuming she’s screaming at a booing Dutch fan.

The outburst has left some people unimpressed with the singer, including one who reposted the clip and sarcastically wrote: “Celebrities… they’re just like us.”

“It’s a soccer match, what did she expect…..” another pointed out while The Mirror reports a third viewer fumed in response: “I really do not like that woman.”

“She’s up her own a***,” another complained, with someone else arguing: “Girl that was annoying i wouldnt have shut the f*** up.” (sic)

However, other fans seemed to love seeing the singer swept up by the tense emotion of the game.

One person argued: “Adele yelling ‘shut up’ to the crowd as they watch England score a penalty. The game of football will put you on the edge,” along with laughing emojis.

“Not Adele telling the crowd to shut up. I love her so much,” another added.

“Adele so real for that,” someone else posted, with a fourth adding: “How could you not like her?” (sic)

Adele wasn’t the only A-lister at the game, with Ed Sheeran also spotted in the crowd. The nail-biting semi-final saw Ollie Watkins score the winning goal in injury time, defeating the Netherlands and landing England a place in the final.

Watkins’ goal means England will be taking on Spain in Sunday’s final, with the striker having replaced captain Harry Kane late in the second half.

Kane had earlier equalised with a penalty in the first half as he cancelled out Xavi Simons’ opener and it was neck-and-neck for most of the match until Watkins scored in the last minute.

The win marks the first time England have made it to a major final on foreign soil. Speaking after the match, Kane commented: “History made. Amazing achievement.

“I’m so proud of everyone. Every player, every member of staff, I’m so proud of them.

“To do what we’ve done away from home is really special. There’s that feeling there’s one more left and we need to do that on Sunday.

“We talk about [Watkins] being ready. We’re a big team at being ready.

“When it matters, you might get five minutes, one minute, but you can make a difference, you can win us a tournament.”
