UK actress Emma Watson has been sighted in a rare outing with a new man, after splitting from her long-term boyfriend last year.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has found love again with an academic wizard she met at university.

The British actress, studying for a Masters degree at Oxford University, is dating Kieran Brown, who is doing a PhD in 19th century literature and economics, according to The Sun.

Watson, 34, was photographed kissing Brown on a date in Oxford, central southern England, earlier this month, in photos published by the outlet.

The notoriously private actress was also seen with him at a bakery after they went public.

“Emma is studying creative writing and his thesis is all about literary theory – so they have a lot to talk about,” a source said.

“She looks so loved up with Kieran.”

Watson, who has taken a step away from the spotlight in recent years, split from Brandon Green, son of business tycoon Sir Philip, early last year after 18 months together.

She was later spotted enjoying quality time with American businessman Ryan Walsh in Venice over the summer.

Watson is currently dividing her time between the US and Oxford after signing up for the part-time Masters degree.

Fellow students said she attends a handful of lectures – with security in tow – and does the rest online.

She is said to be worth $114 million, mainly thanks to her starring role as Hermione Granger in the iconic Harry Potter films.

Watson has enjoyed a lengthy hiatus from Hollywood over the past few years, last appearing in a feature film in 2019, when she starred in Little Women.

Addressing her absence from the public eye for her 33rd birthday in April last year, Watson shared a rare, lengthy post on Instagram.

“I stepped away from my life,” Watson wrote alongside a series of professional photos.

“I learned to surf (badly), I rode some horses (that went better), I did a lot of therapy (YESS therapy!). My brother and I joined forces @renaisspirits. I adopted Sofia in Mexico, who seems to be an angel not a dog. We filmed a Harry Potter reunion️. I said goodbye to my grandma and grandpa. I retraced my steps.

“I started a women’s environmental investment fund. I played pickleball with Sugar Ray Leonard and I even played golf and then tried to make all of my girlfriends learn too. I cut my thumbnail off on both hands trying to cook for myself and then was only able to do things one handed for months,” she wrote.

“I felt really sad and really p*ssed off about a lot of things. I learned more about love and being a woman. It took me three years but I have finally figured out a daily practice and can actually keep it for more than a few days in a row.

“I burned some things down. I eat green things now! I got obsessed with making Squarespace websites. I directed my first commercial.

“These pictures were actually taken on my birthday last year, but I wasn’t ready to come out of my Covid cocoon,” she wrote.
