Cardi B Reacts After Elon Musk Mocked Her as ‘Puppet’ Following Teleprompter Issue at Kamala Harris’ Rally
Cardi B fires off her ardent response to Elon Musk who labeled her a ‘puppet’ after she had a rocky start when addressing the crowd at Kamala Harris’ rally due to technical issue.
Cardi B, known for her unapologetic opinions and fierce personality, didn’t hold back when Elon Musk criticized her recent appearance at Kamala Harris‘ rally in Milwaukee.
During the event, technical issues with the teleprompter caused an awkward pause, which Musk was quick to pounce on. Sharing a clip of the incident on X (formerly Twitter), Musk wrote, “Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words. The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy.”
The rapper swiftly fired back, emphasizing her roots and the struggles she has overcome. She wrote, “I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm.”
Following her rocky start where she stuttered, Cardi was able to deliver her passionate message after being handed a phone with her official speech written on it. Highlighting her former skepticism towards political candidates until Harris entered the race, she stated, “I did not have faith in any candidates until she joined the race and said the things that I wanted to hear, that I want to see next in this country.”
“I believe every word that comes out of her mouth. She’s passionate, she’s compassionate, she shows empathy, and most of all, she’s not delusional. Kamala recognizes that this country is at risk. That the economy needs to get stronger, that the cost of food and the cost of living is too high.”
Despite facing criticism for the teleprompter hiccup, Cardi received considerable applause from the Milwaukee crowd by the end of her speech.
As the political climate intensifies, figures like Cardi B and Elon Musk will likely continue to shape public discourse with their high-profile exchanges. But if her fierce reply is any indication, Cardi B isn’t about to be silenced.
