Prince Harry gave a rare TV interview after he arrived in Vancouver to watch Canadian football’s Grey Cup, as his wife Meghan Markle was seen partying in Los Angeles

Prince Harry headed to Canada alone and gave a surprise interview on TV, while his wife Meghan Markle was seen letting her hair down in Los Angeles.

The Duke of Sussex traveled to Vancouver for the Grey Cup and gave an interview to The Sports Network before the Canadian football final between the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. During the interview, Harry was asked what he was most looking forward to about being able to watch the big game.

“I’m looking forward to the game getting started – let’s go,” he said. The hosts also asked him what position he would play if he were part of the Canadian Football League. Harry replied, “I think quarterback is a cool place to be.”

His visit to Vancouver came as Harry prepares for his next Invictus Games to be held in the Canadian city in February 2025. It will be the first time the games have featured winter sports.

During Harry’s trip, he was seen smiling to the crowd ahead of the game and giving them a thumbs up. His surprise appearance in Canada came just days after the Duchess of Sussex was seen dancing with pals at a glitzy party.

Meghan was at the bash to celebrate the launch of a new haircare line by the brand Highbrow Hippie, which was co-founded by her close pal and Hollywood hair colorist, Kadi Lee. In pictures shared by guests on Instagram, Meghan was seen posing for a picture with Kadi as well as fellow hairstylist Serge Normant.

The former Suits actress wore a black strapless top and chic black trousers, with her hair cascading over her shoulders. In one video, Meghan was seen applauding her friend Kadi and her co-founder Myka Harris as they addressed their guests.

Harry did not join his wife at the party, with the pair having completed a number of solo engagements in recent months. A source previously told the Daily Mail that Harry’s solo appearances have been his own idea as he reportedly “wants space.”

However, another source suggested the reason for the solo appearances is simply due to a shift in their ventures. They told People: “The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals – not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track.”

While another told the magazine: “[It’s] as much a reflection on parenting priorities, in that one of them stays behind with the children.”
