NBA fans in awe of LeBron James’ ‘motion’ as Call Of Duty hints at accepting Bronny James’ skin request (Image: IMAGN)
On Saturday, LA Lakers star LeBron James reached out to the video gaming company Activision on X (formerly Twitter), requesting to make his son Bronny a playable character in Call of Duty Blacks Ops 6. The older James tweeted that Bronny wanted his own “skin” in the first-person shooter game, set to be released later this month.
“Bronny just said he want his own “Skin”. @Activision @CallofDuty talk to me,” James tweeted.
Call of Duty’s official X page responded to James’ tweet, hinting that the company is open to adding his son.
“We know Bronny is a shooter, let’s talk. First father son duo in NBA history. Could be a #CallOfDuty first too 👀”

NBA fans quickly expressed admiration for LeBron James’ ability to get Bronny’s request heard by the company.
“Actually living the American dream 😂” a fan tweeted.
“Bron has so much motion,” another said.
Several other fans praised “The King.”
“I wish Bron was my daddy,” a fan tweeted.
“Let me see yo GOAT do this,” one added.
“I mean wow, King. Taking over on and off the court, absolute king activities,” another said.
Still, there were fans who said Bronny was undeserving of getting his own skin in the game.
“Bronny James 1/11 , give him a LMG the way he’s emptying the clip and missing everything,” one said.
“Bronny going through life earning nothing along the way lmao,” another said.
If Bronny James’ request does come to fruition, he will become just the third NBA player to be a playable character in Call of Duty following Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
LeBron James’ son Bronny James is an avid gamer
While Bronny James’ preseason run may not have gone as he hoped, the 20-year-old has already won an NBA tournament — but not in basketball. He previously participated in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III tournament held during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Bronny outperformed Charlotte Hornets’ Grant Williams and Detroit Pistons’ Bobi Klintman during a drill contest that lasted two minutes, concluding with 84 points to walk away victorious with a $10,000 prize pool and a Call of Duty championship belt. LeBron James’ son has played in other Call of Duty tournaments, having competed for a $25,000 prize back in May.
In the preseason, Bronny is averaging 0.7 points, 1.0 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in 11.9 minutes per game while shooting 9.1% from the field including 0-4 from beyond the arc.
