Marcus Jordan, the son of hoops legend Michael Jordan, gets a lot of attention from his social media posts. This was the case this week when he weighed in on an Atlanta rapper Young Thug’s jail drama.
On Monday, a video of an alleged 2022 jail call video between Young Thug and model Leena Sayed was leaked by the “Law & Crime Trials” YouTube channel. In the video, Sayed, who is reportedly in a relationship with boxer Devin Haney, says:
“I don’t like anyone. No one’s like you. I don’t like them, I want you.”
Aside from Sayed’s alleged relationship with Haney, this call is controversial because Young Thug, who was released from jail in October after serving over 900 days for various charges, is known to be dating singer and songwriter Mariah the Scientist.
Jordan, who is just a year older than Young Thug, came to the rapper’s defense amid the backlash from this leaked video.
The second eldest child of Michael Jordan occasionally courts controversy, and has made some eyebrow-raising comments on X. Earlier this month, he admitted to partying for 48 hours straight without sleep. Back in October, he opened up about his sex life with Larsa Pippen, ex-wife of his father’s estranged teammate Scottie Pippen.

Recently, a photo of young Marcus emerged via an Instagram story by his sister Jasmine. This photo also shows their parents Michael and Juanita, as well as their middle sibling Jeffrey.

The photo showing Michael, Juanita, and their brood was taken right after the Chicago Bulls defeated the Seattle Supersonics to win the 1996 NBA Championship.
