Savannah James’ podcast co-host April McDaniel recalled one time LeBron James’ wife made a nice gesture with her to try to brighten her day. During Tuesday’s episode of her “Everybody’s Crazy Podcast,” James and McDaniel had author and psychotherapist Vanessa Bennett and author and psychologist Dene Logan as guests.
At some point, the conversation shifted to how people take care of their inner child, with McDaniel recalling the time Savannah saw hers when she was going through a rough day:
“Savannah has met my inner child when I’ve needed it the most. It was like the most random of small things. I was having a really bad day, and this was the one time my therapist asked me, ‘When have you seen support in your life?’ And he was like, ‘What about for this year?’“
“And there was one time I was having a horrible day, and Savannah never comes to the office here, and she showed up and I was like, ‘Oh my god, what are you doing?’ And she was like, ‘I felt you like you needed a hug today.’ I was like, ‘Oh! I needed a hug!’ And it was so random and I was like, ‘Oh my god,'” McDaniel said. (17:40 mark)
The message from the authors and the hosts was to take care of the people you love. Mental health has become a more important topic in society in recent years, and James and McDaniel have tried to offer more help to fans with their latest guests.
LeBron James calls in on Savannah James’ podcast to surprise his wife
The last two weeks have been memorable for Savannah James, not only for the topics she’s been touching on on her podcast but for one unexpected call she received during the Holiday Special, Dec. 11 episode. During that episode, none other than her husband, LeBron James, contacted the show to surprise Savannah.
The “Everybody’s Crazy” podcast allows listeners to call the show and share their thoughts on the topics. The LA Lakers superstar called and introduced himself as any other caller.
“What’s going on? LeBron James, I’m from Akron, Ohio.” (32:28)
The hosts acted surprised when they first heard James on the other side of the line. Then, they said he had a sexy voice. This hasn’t been the only time a member of the James family called Savannah’s show, as Bryce once had one of his friends ask Savannah a question before revealing he was behind the inquiry.
