LeBron James, the star player for the Los Angeles Lakers, will have the opportunity to play alongside his son Bronny James in the upcoming season. The Lakers drafted Bronny as the 55th overall pick in the second round of the NBA draft. This fulfills the 39-year-old star player’s wish to play with his son before retiring. However, his younger son, Bryce Maximus James, has also expressed the desire to play with his father on the same team. Unfortunately, the 17-year-old is aware that would not be possible as LeBron will likely retire by then.

In his Friday livestream on Instagram, Bryce made some surprising revelations about his NBA aspirations to play on the same team as his father. The 17-year-old basketball player stated that he doesn’t believe he’ll be able to play in the NBA with LeBron, as the Lakers star will be 42 by the time he joins the NBA.

Lebron James Remains the League’s Oldest Active Player

LeBron James is defying expectations by maintaining a high level of performance even though he is currently the oldest player in the NBA. Some NBA analysts have even predicted that LeBron will continue to play for at least two more seasons before retiring.

The 39-year-old athlete has consistently dominated the league throughout the 2023-24 season. According to StatMuse, the four-time NBA champion averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds in 71 games this season and was selected to play in his twentieth All-Star game.

James became very emotional about his sons before the 2024 NBA draft. The 39-year-old Lakers star posted some photos with his sons on his Instagram account. Additionally, he wrote a heartfelt message in the post’s caption that showed his love for his sons. He mentioned that he feels very proud to be their dad.
