Detroit rapper Kash Doll recently shared hopes to connect with Eminem someday and talked about her respect for him, even as newer artists wonder if he will connect with fresh talent in the Motor City.

In a recent chat with Bootleg Kev, Kash Doll had nothing but good words to share about Eminem. While some new Detroit artists have mentioned wanting more support from the legendary rapper, Kash Doll kept it cool and positive. She has not met Em yet, but she is convinced it will happen when it is meant to:

I want to, and I’m not even mad he hasn’t tapped in. I don’t know, it’s something about men and women within this era. I think we’re going to have our time.

She reminisced about a big moment on stage with 50 Cent in Detroit, where she spotted Eminem joining him:

I did a concert with Fifty. He came to Detroit and I saw Em come out on stage, and I’m so mad I’m not backstage no more! But it would have taken so much for me to go back, so I was like, there will be a time that it’s going to happen.

Kash Doll wrapped it up with total respect for what Eminem has done for Detroit hip hop:

I love Em. I have nothing bad to say. Em is Em. He made his mark. He did what he needed to do. He’s one of them ones who put Detroit on the map. When you think of 8 Mile, you think of Eminem Detroit.

And as for whether Eminem should be more hands-on with local talent? Kash Doll has her answer:

He’s not obligated to tap in with anyone. He’s obligated to tap in with who he likes.

No hard feelings here — just plenty of love from one Detroit artist to another!
