Juan Soto has yet to find a home, but the competition to sign the star slugger has not declined. Several teams have met with Soto and are yet to finalize a deal. Here’s where each team stands after meeting the star slugger.

New York Yankees

The Bronx Bombers will do anything to retain Soto. The Yankees understand well that they made it to the World Series because of Soto. Losing out of Soto will undoubtedly make it hard to reach the World Series next season. Hal Steinbrenner, Brian Cashman, and Aaron Boone met with Soto.

Based on their legacy and fan following, the Yankees are predicted to persuade Soto to join the team. Soto is comfortable in the Bronx; the Yanks will play their cards well to stay ahead of the Mets.

New York Mets

Steve Cohen has the money, and he could easily outbid the Yankees. The Mets will play wise with their money and only their money. Juan Soto’s agent, Scott Boras, will do his best to get him more cash. However, the Mets do not have a sentiment like how the Yankees do. Since Soto played with the Yanks already, the Mets need to pump in more.

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox were among the first teams to meet the slugger. Boston’s stance with Soto is not like the Yankees and the Mets. Despite Soto saying he likes the Red Sox, the chances of him signing a long-term deal are slim. Boston will not be able to compete with them here, at least in their current situation.

Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays surprised everyone when they had a meeting with Juan Soto. The Blue Jays must get back in the race after a disastrous season. With Valdimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette available for another year, adding Soto would have made them stronger. However, Toronto is not considered a major favorite in this deal. Furthermore, Soto is adamant to join a winning team.

Los Angeles Dodgers Plan To Meet Juan Soto

After the Yankees meeting with Soto, the Los Angeles Dodgers are planning to try their luck. Dave Roberts wants to keep winning as much as possible until he has Shohei Ohtani. Soto to the Dodgers will make them one of the most dangerous teams. For now, the Yankees and the Mets have the upper hand among other teams.
