Juan Soto is probably the only name MLB fans have heard the most during this offseason. Soto is the biggest free agent on the market, and rumors will continue to swirl until he joins a team. It’s the same story over and over, with the Yankees and Mets being huge favorites.
Apart from those, the Red Sox want to meet with Soto again, and the Blue Jays are predicted to be the highest bidder. After a point, fans lose patience and are eager to know which side he would land on.
Soto is nearing his free agency one way or another. While some believe he would join the Yankees or the Mets, many think he would join the team that pays him the most. It’s happened in the past, and with Scott Boras on his side, Soto, it’s entirely possible.
Television host Peter Rosenberg is among many who believe that Soto is loyal to his own brand. In an episode of the Michael Kay Show, Rosenberg said that Soto loves playing where the biggest bag is available.

“Juan Soto loves playing where the biggest bag is going to be available. We know that about this guy. It’s not like an insult. It’s part of who he is. Like one this is very clear about Soto. He seems to have enjoyed everywhere he’s played and has no loyalty to any of the places. It’s okay.. he’s loyal to the Juan Soto brand,” Rosenberg said.
Steve Cohen Could Have Offered The Most To Juan Soto
Steve Cohen can certainly go overboard with the Juan Soto deal if necessary. Rumors are that Cohen offered Soto the most in terms of money. The Mets owner can outbid Hal Steinbrenner if required and has probably done it already.
The Yankees became clear that they wanted Soto in the Bronx after upgrading their offer. However, it will be a tough battle between both New York teams. MLB insiders and experts predict that Cohen and crew will have an advantage over Soto.
It’s just a matter of time for Soto to make a decision. The slugger will soon find a home, and it’s going to be a long-term deal. After Shohei Ohtani’s contract, Soto’s is expected to be the second biggest in the MLB.
