In one of the first main blockbusters of the offseason, Josh Naylor’s Cleveland Guardians sent Andres Giminez and Nick Sandlin away. Giminez had been Naylor’s second baseman for a while, dependably fielding baseballs as one of the best defenders in the league before throwing them over to Naylor.

Sandlin, a relief pitcher, also pitched with Naylor plenty of times throughout the years. Now, both are headed elsewhere, and Naylor’s fiancee took the opportunity to express her feelings on the matter.

Chantel Collado shared the Guardians’ official “Thank You” posts for both players on her Instagram story. She also added a frowning, sad emoji to the story to express feelings about the trade. Collado will miss these players, who played with her soon-to-be husband.

The Guardians made the ALCS last year before losing in five to the New York Yankees, but they liked the return enough to move on from two key players. The main piece in the trade was Spencer Horwitz.

The Toronto Blue Jays believe they have got a great player in Giminez, who recently signed a seven-year deal with Cleveland, before they opted to trade him to the Blue Jays. He was a key piece in the Francisco Lindor trade to the Mets in January 2021.

Josh Naylor is not yet married, but he has been engaged to Chantel Collado since June 2023. The proposal happened on a beach, according to Beacon Journal. Collado, who has over 33,000 followers on Instagram, is a Latin singer.

She is from Canada like Naylor is, and she performs under the stage name “Chanel.” One of their major public appearances came at the 2024 All-Star Game in Texas, but they’ve been together for a very long time.

Not all baseball players have partners as famous as they are, and while Collado is slightly under the radar for a singer, she’s still got quite a following and plenty of people who listen to her music. As of their engagement last year, Naylor’s fiancee had almost 800,000 streams of her music on Spotify.
