British actor Emma Watson, known for her role as Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” series, is in talks for a new film shoot.
Emma Watson’s next stop is reportedly Türkiye, as she plans to spend two days in Istanbul and Ankara, exploring historic locations before production begins.
Watson previously spoke about her decision to step away from acting, saying, “I’m very happy to have stepped away because I feel like I’ve gained a sense of ownership over my voice, my creative space, and my independence.”
After her role in “Little Women”, she shifted her focus to directing. In 2022, she directed the short film “Prada Paradox”, marking her transition into other creative projects.
Turkish film producer Sezai Kocak confirmed that the upcoming project will be filmed in Ankara. “She will stay for two days. We expect filming to start either in November or February,” Kocak stated. Watson’s visit has already created excitement in Türkiye, where her advocacy work and film career have earned her admiration.
Watson’s itinerary includes visits to cultural and historical landmarks in both Istanbul and Ankara. Fans are eager to see which sites she will explore in these two cities, known for their rich heritage and cultural significance.
This visit follows Watson’s prior involvement with Turkish cinema. In 2022, she worked with Turkish actor Aras Bulut Iynemli in the Disney+ series “Ataturk”.
Iynemli, recognized for his performances in “Magnificent Century” and “Cukur”, starred alongside Watson in a highly anticipated project about Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Türkiye. The collaboration attracted widespread attention, with the soundtrack composed by Oscar-winning musician Hans Zimmer.
