Currently on tour, the Shape of You singer decided to up the ante on his nerd card by playing Pokémon on the biggest screen he could find in a stadium, probably after ending his show, or ahead of it. Yes, you read that right, Ed Sheeran played Pokémon on a gargantuan display, that’s usually reserved for epic concert visuals and sports highlights.

The international popstar Ed Sheeran, known for hits like Bad Habits and Anti-Social has always had a playful side, but his new display of geekiness has taken things to a whole new level. During his latest music tour, Sheeran took his love for Pokémon out of the stratosphere, when he decided to enjoy the game on the biggest screen.
Well, being on tour, the musician uploaded a video on his social media accounts, where he was spotted mashing buttons and strategizing his way through the Pokémon world. But the geekiest part of the video was when Ed Sheeran was seen playing the game on the big stadium screen.
Yes, Ed Sheeran was enjoying the fan-favorite video game on the gigantic screen usually reserved for concerts and sports visuals. But somehow, while mesmerizing his fans with his ultra-geeky side, Sheeran seemed to be pretty self-aware. Addressing the world at large, the singer admitted, “If I wasn’t a musician, I would be a virgin” in the video.

Ed Sheeran’s Previous Collaboration with The Pokémon Company
Being a massive and outspoken Pokémon fan, Ed Sheeran has often mentioned his love for the game. Growing up playing the video game alongside his brother, the musician admitted to Rolling Stone about having a nostalgic connection with it. Therefore, back in 2022, Sheeran decided to release a song in collaboration with The Pokémon Company.
Creating the song Celestial, Ed Sheeran featured a variety of sketch-style Pokémon throughout the video and even showed how Snorlax saved him from a car accident. During the end credits of the music video, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet appeared to steal the spotlight. Meanwhile, ahead of dropping the hit, Sheeran had constantly teased his Pokémon collaboration.
