New York Yankees Slugger Giancarlo Stanton & Comedian Tiffany Haddish
Giancarlo Stanton has consistently turned heads since starting his big-league journey. it only took the slugger two years to appear in his first All-Star Game, and he has made four more since then.
Standing at 6’6″, Stanton has a tremendous amount of power. When he hits the ball off the barrel, it quickly gets the attention of fans.
However, fans are not the only ones Stanton has gotten attention from. During a 2019 appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, comedian Tiffany Haddish could not get the Bronx Bombers’ slugger out of her mind.
“I’ve been seeing [Giancarlo Stanton] at baseball games, I’ve been seeing him on Instagram, I’ve been seeing him on Twitter, and I’ve been seeing him in my dreams a lot,” Haddish said jokingly.
Haddish playfully joked about her crush on the five-time All-Star. She made it known publically that she would love to have the big-statured slugger take her into his arms.
“Yes, that’s what I’m talking about. Somebody to burp me. I just want him to pick me up and go, ‘It’s going to be okay, Tiffany'” said Haddish.
It would not be long after that interview when the two would run into each other publicly. However, it did not go as people would have expected.

Later in the year, Tiffany Haddish and Giancarlo Stanton ran into each other in public. While it should have been a dream for Haddish, the slugger may not have been everything the comedian had hoped for.
Haddish posted a photo of the two of them together after they had met. She was quick to put to bed any chances of the two dating in the future.
“It was so great to finally meet Giancarlo Stanton in person. Thanks Dave Osokow for the great birthday gift, too bad he isn’t my type. But I am sure he will be a great friend, maybe we can play catch” said Haddish.
There is no telling why Haddish put the slugger in the friend zone. The Girls Trip actress just stated that he was not her type.
It is unclear if the two ever did get to play that game of catch. Tiffany was at the 2024 All-Star Game, participating in the Celebrity Softball Game. However, Stanton was not as he struggled at times during various points in the season.
