Mats Sundin is celebrated by many fans in Toronto as the greatest Maple Leaf in history. He holds the franchise records for goals and points, with 420 goals and 987 points, cementing his legacy as one of the best to ever lace them up in Toronto. Additionally, Sundin amassed an impressive 1,349 points in 1,346 games, ranking 30th all-time in NHL history.

The Swedish-born forward revealed some exciting news this week. He is set to release his memoir, titled Home and Away’, on October 22nd this year. With the release comes a tour as well.

According to @simonschusterca on Instagram, Sundin’s memoir promises to be a memorable read:

Hall of Fame talk begins as Mats Sundin retires - Red Deer Advocate

”Join Hall of Fame Toronto Maple Leafs captain (and our favourite #13) Mats Sundin as he tours across Ontario in-support of his memoir, HOME AND AWAY.

Told with class and humour, HOME AND AWAY transcends the rink, and reveals how a humble, unpretentious kid from Sweden became a hockey legend and leader.”

Sundin will embark on the promotional tour across Ontario from October 21st to 26th starting in Toronto and ending in Sudbury.

It is worth noting that Sundin’s record for most goals in Maple Leafs history may soon be surpassed. Current Leafs superstar Auston Matthews already ranks 3rd all-time in goals for the team, with 368 goals in just 562 games. He could pass Sundin as soon as this coming season.
