Eminem is keeping the promotion of his new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) going, even as the title itself begins to fall on the charts in the U.S. The rapper selected the set’s third single when the full-length dropped, and now it’s become a top 10 sales smash once again.
“Somebody Save Me” bolts up the U.S. iTunes chart after Eminem released the cut’s official music video. At the time of writing, the single appears at No. 8 on the list of the bestselling songs on the platform in America.
The track was a quick bestseller when it was first released several weeks ago, but since then, it hasn’t been selling incredibly well, which is not unexpected. “Somebody Save Me” improves its standing on iTunes by more than 40 spaces, as a large number of fans were inspired to buy the cut after seeing the visual that accompanies it.

“Somebody Save Me” serves as the third official single from The Death of Slim Shady, and it has the makings of a proper smash. The tune has thus far peaked at No. 27 on the Hot 100, though it reached that position without much promotion. Now that Eminem and his team are pushing the song with a video, and likely a radio campaign, it could reach new highs in the coming weeks.
Eminem is not alone on “Somebody Save Me,” and his collaborator also helps bring some star power to the future smash. Jelly Roll sings the chorus, adding some flair and a new voice to the composition—and even making it appeal to those who might otherwise not be interested in pure rap.

“Somebody Save Me” is Eminem’s only hit inside the top 10 on iTunes in the United States at the moment, but the same can’t be said about Jelly Roll. He also appears several spots higher, at No. 4, with his own current solo focus. “I Am Not Okay” has been selling well since its arrival several weeks ago, as Americans aren’t tired of the track just yet.
Eminem nearly returned to the throne on the Hot 100 earlier this year when he began hyping the world for The Death of Slim Shady. The set’s lead single “Houdini” debuted and peaked at No. 2. Follow-up tune “Tobey” with Big Sean and BabyTron only rose as high as No. 24. “Somebody Save Me” instantly gave Eminem and Jelly Roll another top 40 win on the Hot 100 when it dropped, but that may be just the beginning for the cross-genre hit.
