Eminem is never one to shy away from showing respect to the legends who paved the way. In his latest music video for “Murdergram Deux” with LL Cool J, he is tipping his hat to one of the greats: Big Daddy Kane.

In the music video, fans were quick to notice a nod to Big Daddy Kane’s iconic 1988  album “Long Live The Kane”. A particular scene in “Murdergram Deux” echoes the classic album cover, with Eminem draped in a toga reminiscent of the legendary hip hop artist’s stance on his throne.

“Long Live The Kane” is one of the cornerstones in hip hop history. Kane’s slick rhymes and effortless flow influenced generations of rappers, including Eminem. It’s no surprise that Em would draw inspiration from Kane’s legacy, considering Marshall has long hailed him as one of his personal idols in rap.
