The highly anticipated match between ITFC women’s football team and Manchester City will take place at 1pm this Sunday.

In a show of support, famous singer from Suffolk, Ed Sheeran, posted a heartfelt message on the ITFC women’s football team’s Instagram account. He expressed: “Hello to all the members of the Ipswich women’s football team and Joe, the coach. Good luck to you this Sunday against Manchester City in the FA Cup, and congratulations to you on your progress. so far!”

Sheeran, a passionate fan of the local club, has been the main shirt sponsor of both the men’s and women’s teams since 2021 and currently holds a small stake in the club. His great love for the team was evident earlier this season when he was seen driving a tractor around Kiln Farm Nursery in Kesgrave, marking the green side’s exciting return to the Premiership League.
