Ed Sheeran has visited a new mural created in his honour outside Portman Road ahead of today’s clash with Manchester United.
The global superstar, who was raised in nearby Framlingham, is a long-standing supporter and earlier this year he became a minority stakeholder in the Premier League team.
A mural honouring the music star was painted on the side of a building in Sir Alf Ramsey Way near Portman Road.
The route is typically taken by the team bus as it arrives at the stadium for home games.

Sheeran posed for a photo with the finished mural which was shared by Ipswich Town Football Club.
The mural displays Sheeran, both as a young boy wearing his Ipswich Town shirt and him now, wearing this year’s kit.
It also features the tour symbols which feature on the shirts and the words Tractor Boy.
Ahead of the clash, Sheeran posted a message on his Instagram account.
It read: “Off to watch the biggest football team in the world… and Man United.”
At the match Town manager Kieran McKenna is set to face the team he was once assistant manager for before taking on the Ipswich job in 2021.
It is also the first match Manchester United is playing under new manager Ruben Amorim.
