Enniskillen native Kieran McKenna has made quite a name for himself in English football.

After his playing career was cut short by injury at Tottenham Hotspur, McKenna went straight into coaching and after a spell with Spurs, he was snapped up by Manchester United.

He was brought into the first team set-up by Jose Mourinho and also worked under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer before establishing his name as a manager in his own right. He is the second youngest manager in the English football league.

He has enjoyed a sensational start to life as a No 1 with Ipswich Town where the 37-year-old got the East Anglia outfit promoted automatically from League One.

They have backed that up in English football’s second tier, winning 16 of their 21 games to sit top of the Championship after a record-breaking start.
