Former Chicago Blackhawks Captain and three-time Stanley Cup winner Jonathan Toews was seen in an interesting picture online recently.
Toews who has been out of the public eye since February was seen with former Blackhawks legend, whose number now hangs in the rafter, Chris Chelios.
A Jonathan Toews sighting! The Wolverine look is still going strong! #Blackhawks
Toews was seen hanging out Chris Chelios School of Hockey, as from June 17-21th the Chelios School of Hockey had a camp for Squirt/PeeWee players at Fifth Third Arena in Chicago.
The Camp took place from Monday to Thursday and of course, all players had a set routine each day and here’s the lowdown from the “About” section:
ON ICE SESSIONS WILL BE LIMITED TO ABOUT 25 CAMPERS WITH MULTIPLE COACHES ON THE ICE TO ENSURE EACH STUDENT GETS ALL THE ATTENTION THEY NEED IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR GAME!
THROUGHOUT THE WEEK THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF PRIZES AND AWARDS HANDED OUT, ALONG WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET BLACKHAWK’S LEGEND CHRIS CHELIOS AND OTHER SURPRISE GUESTS!
PREPARE LIKE A PRO

ALONG WITH A GUEST APPEARANCE BY FORMER BLACKHAWKS DEFENSEMAN CHRIS CHELIOS, OUR EXPERIENCED STAFF WILL PROVIDE A WEEK OF EXCITING SKILL-BUILDING, DESIGNED TO MIRROR WHAT THE PLAYERS ARE DOING AT A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL.
ADDITIONALLY, CHELIOS HOCKEY SCHOOL DISTINGUISHES ITSELF BY EMPHASIZING MORE THAN JUST SKILL DEVELOPMENT. WE INSTILL VITAL VALUES SUCH AS TEAMWORK, PERSEVERANCE, AND SPORTSMANSHIP, BOTH ON AND OFF THE ICE. OUR AIM IS NOT ONLY TO ENHANCE YOUR HOCKEY SKILLS BUT ALSO TO FOSTER PERSONAL GROWTH. JOIN US THIS SUMMER FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE WEEK!
It sounds like Jonathan Toews was there not just to hang out, but to be a mentor and offer training to up and coming hockey players in the Chicago area.
Still no word on Toews official retirement, or whether he’ll find a place in the front-office of the Blackhawks.
