Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson haven’t escaped teasing online, including from their teams and teammates.

When Wilson set the WNBA record for most points in a season, the Aces’ X page (formerly Twitter) appeared to reference the dating rumors by captioning their post:

Wilson’s teammate Sydney Colson also joined in the fun, referencing Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s comments during the key-to-the-city event, where she said:

“A’ja Wilson, she won gold in women’s basketball. I guess that has something to do with Bam and the Heat being here today.”

Colson shared a screenshot of the moment, adding:

“If I send you this, just know I’m finna tell on you.”

Aces players Chelsea Gray, Tiffany Hayes, and Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell were among those laughing in the comments under Colson’s post.

Bam Adebayo reveals key for Miami Heat in 2024-25 season

The Miami Heat have often faced bad injury luck during the playoffs, and this issue is what Bam Adebayo said the team needs to overcome to reach the next level.

“To be healthy. For all of us to be healthy and win. That’s the biggest goal for all of us,” Adebayo said. “The ups and downs we’ve been through. We all just want to be healthy and win ballgames,” he said (per SI).

With the retirement of Udonis Haslem, Adebayo has taken on the role of team captain.

“It doesn’t get any easier when you are the captain. You have new guys coming in and you have to explain who we are and how we move,” he said.

“We are doing this for someone bigger than ourselves. We are doing this for the team, for the organization.”

Adebayo is coming off a gold-medal run in the 2024 Paris Olympics where he played with NBA superstars LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and more.
