Anthony Santander continues to remain a hot target for the New York Yankees as they look to add another slugger. The Yanks are making the best of Juan Soto’s money after acquiring Cody Bellinger to bolster their offense.
Bellinger to the Yankees is a great deal, but Brian Cashman seems to be keen on adding more stars. If there is one team that has made good use of this offseason, it has to be the Yankees. They went all out to get Max Fried, Bellinger, Devin Williams and are still on the lookout.
One star slugger who has been linked to the Yanks for a long time is Anthony Santander. The Bronx Bombers will try to make a quick move on Santander before he’s lost to another AL East team. Surprisingly, the other AL East team is not the Baltimore Orioles.
The Boston Red Sox is expected to be Santander’s top landing spot. The Yanks will be left with a handful of options if they miss out on the slugger. Hence, they will try to push for the switch-hitting outfielder, who could be another key player in their lineup.

Pete Alonso Stays In The Mix Amid Anthony Santander’s Rumors
Another star slugger the Yankees are predicted to pursue is Pete Alonso. The Yanks could seal a deal with Alonso if they failed to land Anthony Santander. The Mets have taken two players from the Yanks and have not been interested in Alonso since signing Juan Soto.
However, Alonso has a growing market and several teams behind him. The Yankees would consider Alonso their next first baseman. Additionally, they have other options, such as Christian Walker. The Yankees can use a switch hitter like Santander.
The former Orioles star is predicted to sign for close to $100 million. The Red Sox have the money to sign players, and Santander is one on the list. If the Yanks fail to sign Santander, they could opt for Alonso, Walker, or Paul Goldschmidt. Yankees fans are happy about Bellinger’s signing but were unhappy about the rumors of trading for Josh Naylor.
