The Yankees were greeted warmly ahead of their showdown with the Detroit Tigers in the Little League Classic.
The Pinstripe-wearing American League East frontrunners were granted a heroes welcome by fans upon landing in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for Sunday’s Little League Classic.
The game, scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. Eastern Time opening pitch, was originally brought to light in 2017, making its MLB debut, which featured the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals.

This will be the Yankees first time participating in the game, which typically draws well over two-thousand in attendance.
Many of the Yankees were seen signing autographs and talking with fans while making their way to the ballpark for the game, including stars Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton and Juan Soto, among others.

The game, of course, is ongoing with the Little League World Series, which began earlier this month and is scheduled to conclude in late August.
New York does have a team still alive, currently in Round 3 of the loser’s bracket in the tournament, and will compete again next week.

The tournament is double elimination and the New York representatives, who are from Staten Island have won two straight after losing their tournament opener.
Staten Island beat Hinsdale, Ill., 4-0 on Sunday.
Against the Tigers, the Yankees are playing to win the series, having split the first two games.

A win would give the Bronx Bombers a third consecutive series victory, and improve their record to 74-51.
