“This is what unity looks like, folks!” — The internet erupted as Eminem and Kid Rock joined forces to cheer on the Detroit Lions, setting aside their political differences in an unforgettable show of hometown pride. Fans couldn’t believe their eyes, watching two Michigan legends, often on opposite sides, unite under the roar of the crowd.

While rappers Eminem and Kid Rock have very different political ideologies, they stood together to support the Detroit Lions, the Detroit-based American football team. Both the rappers shared tweets extending support to the football team. On October 28, Eminem tweeted:

“Here’s one thing @KidRock and I do agree on… GO @Lions!!!! Appreciate you, Bob.”

 

Hours after that, Rock took to X, expressed gratitude to Eminem, and wrote:

“Who would of thought it would be 2 white rappers from Detroit / Michigan to show our divided Country what class is and how it should be done! Appreciate ya too Marshall!”

Kid Rock recently praised Eminem and Taylor Swift for voicing their political stances and using their platforms for the same

While Kid Rock and Eminem recently made headlines after both the rappers extended support to the Detroit Lions, Rock also shared a post referring to Eminem and Taylor Swift. In the post, Rock explained how he liked the fact that these artists used their platforms to endorse their political beliefs, even if the thoughts were not in line with his ideas.

In the video shared on social media on October 25, Kid Rock said:

“I love Eminem. We’ve been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics, but I do give credit to him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that which they believe.”

Kid Rock further said:

“Thinking differently, and having the freedom to do so, is what makes this country great.”

For the unversed, Kid Rock is a vocal supporter of Donald Trump. Taylor Swift and Eminem had endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming elections.

On October 22, Eminem took to stage to introduce former President Barack Obama in Detroit’s Huntington Place, who had been supporting Kamala Harris. Meanwhile, Taylor endorsed Harris through a detailed social media post uploaded in September.

On the other hand, Kid Rock performed at the 2024 RNC that was held in July. The artist performed on Day 4 of the event in front of a massive audience including ex-President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump.
