One of the last torchbearers for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Snoop Dogg will take the flame to its ultimate resting place atop the Eiffel Tower.

The mayor of Saint-Denis, France, broke the news about Snoop’s latest performance on Tuesday (July 23) via social media. iconic musician Laetitia Casta, French rapper MC Solaar, and others will be performing with the iconic artist, according to TMZ.”U gots to do it!!” Snoop said alongside a screenshot of an article regarding the honor as a reaction on Instagram. Snoop will be a part of NBCUniversal’s game coverage, which is not completely unrelated.The Hollywood Reporter reports that Snoop Dogg will be joining NBC Olympics anchor Mike Tirico for a conversation where Dogg will offer his “unique take” on the events unfolding in Paris. Further plans include “exploring the city’s iconic landmarks, attending Olympic competitions and events and making visits to the athletes, their friends and families.”


Snoop expressed his excitement about covering the Olympics in Paris, saying, “I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris.” This occurred earlier this year when his coverage was revealed.
