Rick Ross and Trick Trick put their long-running dispute behind them in a dramatic display of solidarity at Michael “Harry O” Harris’ Our Community First Action concert in Pontiac on Tuesday (September 17).

The occasion represented a watershed moment in their friendship, as the two musicians embraced onstage, demonstrating solidarity in front of an ecstatic audience.

Following his and Trick Trick’s peace, which was arranged by the Death Row Records co-founder and financier, Ross walked to the stage to perform his famous 2010 song, “I’m Not A Star.”Afterward, he expressed his enthusiasm for the community’s efforts. “I want to take a moment to recognize those who are truly making a difference in the community,” Rozay added, referring to Harry O’s work with Community First.

“You flew me out last night and had Trick Trick bring me out on stage.” I’m sure everyone knows me and Trick Trick had a disagreement for over a decade, and now we’re simply moving forward, doing tremendous things in the community.”The reconciliation follows years of conflict, especially an incident in 2014 in which Trick Trick allegedly barred Ross from performing at the city’s Summer Jamz performance. Ross faced criticism for not “checking in” with important Detroit personalities, which sparked the confrontation.

However, Trick Trick appeared to disassociate himself from charges of attempted extortion against Ross in the aftermath of Rozay’s absence from the Summer Jamz concert, dismissing the feud as a personal matter between the two musicians. “That man is a musician.” “I’m a musician,” Trick Trick explained at the time.

“We’re musicians. Our business does not belong on the internet. And it is none of your motherf**king concern what is going on between me and that man. What the f**k occurred out there that day?”

He said, “What the f**k do I look like telling a man he has to pay me to come to my damn city?” I don’t mean anybody any harm. If I had an altercation with someone and some hands were placed on that motherf**ker. Aye, goddammit, that’s what the f*ck occurred.”
