Jason Kelce reminds brother Travis about the fate of their long lost Eminem album: ‘Dad got into the car after you had bought that CD, and he took it out and threw it out the window’

After 15-time Grammy Award winning rapper Eminem was at the Detroit Lions playoff victory over the Rams last weekend, Travis and Jason Kelce looked back on their memories of his music.

Most notably, Travis admitted ‘The Eminem Show’ was the first CD he ever bought. Jason Kelce asked his younger brother if he remembered the fate of his 2002 rap album.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end could not recall.

‘You know what happened to that CD, though?’ Jason said. ‘Dad got into the car after you had bought that CD, and he took it out and threw it out the window.’

‘It’s one of the funniest things I ever saw happen,’ Jason continued, laughing hysterically with his brother. ‘… I remember that like it was yesterday.’

Talking openly about a woman’s menstrual cycle and former US Vice President Dick Cheney’s health problems in back-to-back lyrics might not be what Ed Kelce wanted his teenage sons hearing.

Like many other teenagers at the turn of the millennium, ‘The Eminem Show’ was a must-buy CD and is now the best-selling hip-hop album of all time.

Songs like ‘Without Me’ and ‘Sing for the Moment’ turned into cult classics, while some parents believed the content of Eminem’s music was not suitable for children of a certain age.

Ed Kelce was not on this week’s episode of ‘New Heights’ to talk about tossing the CD out the window, but based on his son’s reactions, they find the drastic move funny more than two decades later.

It is unknown whether Eminem will be at the Lions’ Divisional round matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

The Kelce brothers both are amid speculation about their lives. Jason has refuted media reports that he told Philadelphia Eagles’ teammates he was retiring on Monday.

Travis Kelce’s spotlight is mostly due to dating Taylor Swift, with her attendance at the Chiefs’ game against the Bills still up in the air as well.
