Paul Skenes’ girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, returned to LSU following her California vacation, where she spent time at Malibu Beach and went for lunch with friends. She was there to attend her boyfriend’s start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday.
On Tuesday, Dunne shared snaps from the gymnasium of LSU. She was in a white athletic outfit and posed with an Accelerator energy drink.
“Back in da gym staying energized,” Dunne wrote in her post.
Olivia Dunne’s snapchat story
Earlier in July, Olivia Dunne shared that she’ll be returning for the fifth and final year to help the Tigers defend the NCAA crown, which they won in April. She posted a post on social media with a note, saying she’s “not Dunne yet.” Dunne said in the video:
“Dear LSU, these past four years have changed my life. There’s something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There’s something about competing in front of 13,000 screaming Tiger fans. There’s something about being pushed by your coaches to do your very best. And there’s something about being part of a team that made school history.
“No matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there’s just something about LSU. And that’s why I’m here to say, I’m not Dunne yet.”
Olivia Dunne attends Paul Skenes’ start against Dodgers
Olivia Dunne was in attendance at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, cheering Paul Skenes, who was up against a formidable side consisting of All-Star hitters such as Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernandez.
The Dodgers hitters turned up well against the Pittsburgh Pirates rookie, who allowed four earned runs in 6.0 innings. He struck out eight hitters. The Dodgers won the game 4-1. This was Skenes’ only second loss of the season, as his dominant run couldn’t come through in Chavez Ravine.
Both Dunne and Skenes are enjoying a fine year in there respective professions. While Dunne fulfilled her dream of winning an NCAA championship at LSU, Skenes fulfilled his dream by making his major league debut for the Pirates, who picked him first overall in the 2023 MLB Draft.
