Despite this, his players, including captain Aaron Judge, have endorsed him, suggesting the locker room supports his leadership. Still, with the Bronx Bombers aiming for their first World Series title since 2009, expectations are high, and Boone’s job may hinge on whether the team can finally reclaim a championship. Having said that, if the Yankees fall short of the Fall Classic, Cashman may find it difficult to justify retaining Boone, particularly with New York favored to represent the AL in the World Series.
