Fans react as Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever rally in fourth to win vs. Minnesota Lynx
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever played their best basketball in the game’s final frame to rally back and top the Minnesota Lynx, 81-74, on Sunday afternoon inside the Target Center.
In a venue that Clark was familiar delivering signature performances in, the Fever rookie guard scored 10 points in the final quarter to help Indiana erase a seven-point deficit to start the fourth. Clark shot just 5-of-17 in the contest and only 2-of-11 from 3-point range, but she dialed it up late to help turn the tide.
Clark was 2-of-3 from the floor in the fourth quarter as Indiana cranked the offense up. The Fever outscored the Lynx 28-14 in the fourth quarter en route to the win over one of the WNBA’s top four teams. Clark finished her day with 17 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals.
Fever forward Aliyah Boston had a terrific game, finishing with 17 points and 16 rebounds on an 8-of-11 shooting performance. Indiana guard Kelsey Mitchell finished with a game-high 21 points, including 14 after halftime. NaLyssa Smith rounded out Indiana’s double-figure scorers with 11 points.
Indiana improves to 11-14 on the season, while Minnesota falls to 16-8. The Fever have one final game before the All-Star and Olympic break. That comes at the Dallas Wings on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Take a look at some of the highlights and how Fever fans took in Clark and Indiana’s big win over the Lynx.
