Eminem’s Adopted Daughter Works at Hair Salon despite His Millions — He Walked Her Down the Aisle

Eminem proved that he is a family man by adopting and raising his niece who now works at a salon. Earlier this year, the rapper did something special for her, for which she feels “beyond blessed.”

Rapper Eminem has been a firm favorite in the Hip Hop community since 1988. With his many albums, awards, and sold-out tours, his career has been a resounding success. However, it is not only his career that he is focused on.

The rapper is also a family man who takes great pride in being there for his biological and adopted children. Although it is not a side fans often see, it is something they admire in the rapper.

One of Eminem’s adopted daughters is 30-year-old Alaina Marie Scott. The rapper and his ex-wife, Kim Scott, adopted Alaina when she was much younger. Recently, tabloids shared her career with the world.

What Is Alaina’s Story?

Eminem has three children: Alaina, 27-year-old Hailie, and 21-year-old Stevie. However, only Hailie is Eminem’s biological child, with him adopting both Stevie and Alaina. No matter how the children are related to him, the rapper loves them the same.

The rapper’s ex-wife’s sister, Dawn, is Alaina’s mother. Dawn struggled with addiction until her death in 2016 at 42. However, Kim and Eminem adopted Alaina long before her mother passed away. Talking about Alaina, Eminem once gushed, “I have a niece that I have helped raise, too, that’s kind of like a daughter … pretty much like a daughter to me.”

Eminem also said when he considers all the things he has accomplished in his life, one of the things he is most proud of is that he’s been able to raise his three children. He also felt it was essential to keep the children humble, considering they had famous parents.

The rapper considered it essential that he teach his children to stay grounded, even though their parents were famous and could afford to give them everything they needed and more. Alaina has taken the lessons to heart and remains humble even in her career.

What Is Alaina’s Career?

As of 2019, Eminem was worth $50 million. However, his wealth has not caused his children never to want to work or even to work in show business. In fact, Alaina has gone in the complete opposite direction and has a regular job.

Last month, paparazzi snapped Alaina leaving her day job as an esthetician in a salon in Michigan. They also got photos of her interacting with customers in the salon throughout the day.

Alaina, whose name and photo appear on the salon’s company website, is said to interact well with the customers at the salon and was even seen smiling at and hugging one of the women before she left the premises.

The rapper’s daughter wore a cream sweater under a black apron paired with gray sneakers and black pants. In this outfit, she looked like any other employee at the salon.

At the end of the day, Alaina ditched her apron and picked up a black and white tote bag before she left the building. She seemed happy in all the photos.

This is not the first ordinary job the young woman has had. Alaina attained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a double minor in public relations at the University of Oakland before working as a receptionist for some time. Later in life, she told her sister on a podcast that she wanted to complete her esthetician training, which took her four months.

The young woman is now trained in facials, chemical peels, and waxing. Although she is very active on social media, she keeps her professional life quiet. She currently lives in a quiet community in Rochester Hills with her new husband, Matt Moeller.

Matt and Alaina exchanged vows on June 9, 2023, and Alaina called it “simply one of the best days of [her] life.” She shared photos of the occasion on Instagram, showing her wedding party wearing all black, with her in a white wedding gown and Matt in a matching white suit jacket.

Eminem, who was present throughout Alaina’s life, also played a special part in her wedding day. As Alaina wed her longtime partner, Eminem carried out the typical fatherly duty of walking her down the aisle to her new husband.

Talking about the moment, Alaina gushed, “I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle, and my dad walked me down the aisle. He wasn’t going to miss that.”

Alaina and Matt then exchanged handwritten vows in front of 125 guests, which the couple considered an intimate gathering. Alaina shared that they kept their guest list limited to the people they interacted with in their daily lives and allowed very few plus ones.

Matt proposed in December 2021, and Alaina took to Instagram to share the news with her fans. In the post, she said she would have said “yes” to Matt a hundred times over before she planned her “Great Gatsby” themed wedding.

When the wedding was over, Alaina gushed over how rewarding it was to see her vision come to life, saying she had put a lot of effort into the entire day, planning every last detail. She even had napkins made for the couple’s dogs, who also attended the wedding. She also said, “None of this would have been possible without my Dad. I’m beyond blessed.”

Alaina shared that her wedding was filled with “once-in-a-lifetime” moments, like Nathan “Nathan Kane” Mathers performing his song “Slide on Over” at the couple’s reception. Alaina said she was grateful to have so many people who loved her.

Her Instagram post about her wedding was met with words of congratulations by fans, who wished her and Matt a lifetime of happiness and love together.
